Moment mal! #30 - Ornella & Milan - Merry Christmas 22

6.Januar 2023 - heute feiern die orthodoxen Christen in der Ukraine, dem angrenzenden Moldawien und Rußland das Weihnachtsfest.

"Merry Christmas 22" ist mehr als ein Weihnachtslied. Entstanden im Jahr des Angriffs auf die Ukraine ist es ein kraftvolles Statement über Zusammenhalt und den tiefen Wunsch nach Frieden für alle Menschen. Und es ist ein wunderschöner Song - hier zu erleben in Musik, Video, Text und mit Noten für den gemeinsamen Refrain.

So ist der Song und das Video entstanden: 

Ornella und Milan besuchen seit diesem Schuljahr die JamMBoxX, das kreative Tonstudio der Städtischen Musikschule Potsdam am Campus Am Stern, und bilden dort ein Musik- und Producing Duo. "Es war schnell klar, dass sich hier ein kreatives und sehr schnell agierendes Team gefunden hat und ich schlug Ornella vor, einen Weihnachtssong zu schreiben", sagt Christoph Hillmann, Leiter der JamMBoxX . "Noch in der gleichen Woche sendete Ornella mir diesen berührenden Text". Entstanden ist nicht nur ein toller Song und ein aufwändiges Arrangement, sondern in der letzten Woche vor der Veröffentlichung auch noch ein Musikvideo. Gerade rechtzeitig erhielt die Musikschule eine erhebliche Menge von aktuellem technischem Equipment aus der Digitaloffensive des Landesverbandes der Musik- und Kunstschulen (VdMK). "Damit konnten wir Ornella und Milan die zügige Arbeit am Musikvideo ermöglichen und das 'unverschiebbare Zeitziel'  - Weihnachten - erreichen",  freut sich Christoph Hillmann.

Hey! 
My name is Ornella and I’m an exchange student. I come from Moldova. Maybe not all of you know - but Moldova is the neighbour of Ukraine. In this song I expressed my side of view of what’s happening now, the situation in the world -  “The Ukraine war”. I see this as a very hard time for all of us, but I want to trust, that everything is going to be alright again. 

By the lyrics I wrote, I am asking for help from the whole world: 
”One voice is weak  - More voices are unstoppable“.

Christmas is coming and it doesn’t feel the same, but we still have a little bit of hope. Me and Milan want to bring people together, to help each other, to find peace, not only for Christmas. 

„Merry Christmas 2022, soon it will end and we will start something new“.
