Campus at Jungfernsee
In the near future a cooperative project involving technology & high-tech units, educational elements and research facilities will work together on the Jungfernsee Campus, which is located on a former military base in the Babelsberg section of Potsdam. On this approximately 35 hector compound, an innovative community center is being built which has commercial rental space, plots reserved for new construction and urban villas. When this project is finished (which will be soon), an extraordinary working, living, and leisure center will be available in one place.
Potsdam City Center
Potsdam's city center is being resurrected on the Old Market Square, called Alter Markt. Along with the new Brandenburg Parliament, the square will encompass an attractive multi-purpose quarter built in historical style. Information on the new city center can be found here (only in German).
Speicherstadt and Brauhausberg (The Warehouse District and Brewery Hill)
The Speicherstadt and Brauhausberg lie directly on the southern bank of the Havel River. These represent two of the last large industrial branches in the inner city. Exclusive apartments are already under construction in the old warehouses and high-quality building sites for service and research industries will follow in the coming years.
