The Potsdam College is a state-run school which is open to adults with occupational experience. The students can be awarded the university entrance certificate (Abitur - roughly equivalent to the A-level examination) after three years of study at this college. Lessons are given Monday through Friday, both mornings and afternoons. Students may not be employed during the duration of their studies. There is no tuition for the instruction, and support can be granted through BaföG (Federal Law on Training and Education Promotion).
