Pomonatemple - the Pomona Temple on Pfingstberg Hill

The Pomona Temple was built in 1801 and was the first building designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel. When he was only 19 years old, he was entrusted with the job to rebuild the Temple de Pomona. The order came from the Privy Councillor Carl Ludwig von Oesfeld. In 1992-1993, the completely-ruined temple at the southern slope of Pfingstberg Hill was restored and can once again be entered. There is a simple exhibit citing the development of the Pfingstberg site with the Belvedere.
