The Lindenstraße Memorial

This memorial, which is part of the Potsdam Museum, was the city courtrooms for a long time, and as of 1820, a prison wing was also added. State prisoners were held here during World War II. Afterwards, the building was used by the Soviet secret intelligence service and then in 1952 by the East German state security police. Today, you may visit the former prison yards and prison wing, and there is also an exhibit on display regarding the history of political justice.
