The Johann Sebastian Bach Music School

The city's music school, Johann Sebastian Bach, with some 1,750 students, is the largest musical education institute in the state capital.

Its widespread program of courses is open to citizens of all ages who are interested in music. Students can learn to play almost all orchestral instruments, as well as voice, piano, guitar, accordion, keyboard, drums, and other instruments from the popular music repertoire. Lessons are offered both one-on-one and in groups.

The courses of the early musical education - "Music Garden" and "Music and Dance" - are programs designed for pre-school children. A major part of the standard musical education is the groups singing and playing music together in orchestras and choirs, chamber music ensembles, as well as in jazz and rock bands. Many concerts, auditions, and events such as the traditional "Court Festival," fill the music school year with a diversity of cultural life.
