The Bornim Institute for Agricultural Engineering

The objective of the Bornim Institute for Agricultural Engineering e.V. (ATB) is to lay the groundwork for sustainable land-use management and to provide technical solutions for the industry. The priorities of the work at ATB are the quality assurance of agricultural products used both for food and as an energy source, as well as the conservation and optimizing of the use of agricultural areas.

The scientists at the ATB develop, among other things, procedures for the production of high-quality food and feed crops, and work in the field of re-growing raw materials and the utilization of biological materials for energy production. The ATB works in close co-operation with 70 partners in Germany and 30 foreign partners in research and industry.
