The new parsonage on today's Lutherstraße was built in 1886 on the rear portion of the property of the parsonage located at the former Priesterstraße, now Karl-Liebknecht-Straße 28. The design was created by government building advisor Heinrich Otto Techow, who later designed several important public buildings, particularly school buildings in Nowawes and Neuendorf.
The representative building is characterized by red brick architecture, with a neo-Gothic gable on each of the three prominent facades and a slate roof. This architectural style and form language corresponded to the neo-Gothic church buildings emerging at that time, clearly emphasizing its function as a church community house. The front garden, enclosed by a representative wrought-iron fence and decorated masonry pillars, features a statue of Martin Luther.
The community house provided accommodation for the pastor and a communal room, which was previously also used as a winter church. In 2004, careful restoration work was carried out, and the renovation of the building envelope was funded with around 108,000 euros from the Urban Development Monument Protection Program. In 2013, the ceiling painting in the portico – a starry sky with golden-yellow stars on a deep blue background – was restored.
