The Academy of Film and Television ‘Konrad Wolf’ was founded in 1954 and sixty years later it became the first film university in Germany.

In the Brandeburg State capital almost 25,000 students are enrolled at the University of Potsdam, University of Applied Science, College for Sport and Management, Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF and the Hoffbauer Vocational Academy. In addition more than 62,000 virtual students from over 160 countries have registered for courses with the Hasso Plattner Institute’s “openHPI”.
