"Potsdam mobil erleben" ("Experience Potsdam Mobility") is the motto of the "mobiagentur." Located in Potsdam's main train station, the mobiagentur serves as the central contact point for all topics related to mobility and tourism.
The staff provide expert advice to both residents and visitors, offering comprehensive information on mobility and tourism under one roof. Their guiding principle: "Ask us… we know what’s happening, the best way to get there – and we’re happy to share it!" This integration of services aligns with the partners' goal of promoting environmentally friendly mobility and sustainable tourism.
Mobility Services
The mobiagentur brings together all public transportation services and mobility offerings in Potsdam. In addition to familiar services like travel information, fare advice, and ticket sales for the VBB tariff and all ODEG services, it also provides consultations on multimodal transport options and sustainable mobility. Additional services, such as the subscription service (ViP-ABO information), complete the on-site offerings.
Tourist Information
As part of the mobiagentur, the Tourist Information provides guidance on tourist and cultural activities. Visitors receive insider tips, can book city tours by bus, bike, or on foot, and purchase souvenirs. Accommodation arrangements are also available. The office sells tickets for Potsdam's palaces, theaters, museums, boat tours, events, and the Potsdam Berlin WelcomeCard.
Additionally, as a registered Refill Station, guests can refill their water bottles with free tap water.
A Collaborative Project
The mobiagentur opened on February 27, 2020, as a joint project of:
- The State Capital Potsdam
- ViP Verkehrsbetrieb Potsdam GmbH
- Potsdam Marketing und Service GmbH
- with support from Verkehrsverbund Berlin-Brandenburg GmbH.
The redesign and integration of the Tourist Information within the mobiagentur were funded by federal and state resources as part of the GRW Infrastructure program. This initiative is a key part of Potsdam’s strategy for achieving its Integrated Climate Protection Plan and Master Plan for Climate Protection.
